CONFERENCE SECTIONS
The Big Data Analytics section aims to advance research projects related to applied methods of artificial intelligence. Special attention is given to advanced machine learning, image processing and computer vision, audio and speech processing, text analysis, and database management systems. Mastery of data skills is valuable in business, science, and education, requiring a deep understanding of mathematics and statistics. Analysts are capable of conducting research, formulating hypotheses, and visualizing data. The section’s participants are invited to present their research and projects in order to enrich the section’s overview of contemporary achievements in data analytics.
- Here, you will learn to create, adapt, and apply artificial intelligence and data analysis algorithms to various subject areas.
- You will gain advanced knowledge of machine learning techniques, storage and processing of structured and unstructured data, text mining, and computer vision.
- We will not limit ourselves to theory: you will also solve practical problems in deep learning, image processing, and text-based natural language processing.
- Our students participate in scientific research and development in the field of computer vision with the program’s partner organization, research-and-production enterprise Videomix.

The products are aimed at providing decision support to specialists in various applied fields. These unique systems allow for the assessment of human behavioral reactions, identification of individuals with deviant behavior, evaluation of a person's psycho-emotional state, and completion of other relevant tasks in the field of biometric video analytics.

This section addresses issues related to the use of statistics; descriptive and predictive data mining tools; optimization tools and modeling techniques; as well as ecology, resource conservation, chemical technologies, and geosecurity. The ultimate goal of all these tools is decision-making, optimization of technological and business tasks, and the identification of opportunities to produce the best forecasts, detect patterns, and determine trends in resource consumption and humanity's ecological footprint.

Recent advancements in artificial intelligence have led to promising achievements in biology and medicine. In this context, machine learning has proven to be a powerful tool for both gaining new insights into biological and medical data and for achieving various goals and exploring new alternative methodologies for solving complex biomedical and bioengineering problems in a more automated manner. The main focus of the section is on applying information technology to address issues in biology and medicine, advancements in molecular modeling, bioinformatics, and chemometrics, and exploring the use of AI, machine learning, and computer modeling for breakthrough achievements in these fields.

ITMO University’s Infochemistry Scientific Center implements educational Bachelor’s and Master’s programs in which students are engaged in various scientific research projects and use information technology tools in a wide range of areas, including fundamental science, food technologies, agriculture, and oil refining.

This section is dedicated to projects in the field of optoelectronic instrumentation, as well as the calculation and modeling of the operation of devices used to solve practical problems in various fields of science and technology. The development of such devices typically relies on knowledge from many areas: fundamental physics, spectral analysis, computational optics, the theory of optical radiation sources and receivers, and signal detection and processing.

Researchers are encouraged to submit studies that delve into the various aspects of UGC, including its impact on consumer decision-making processes, satisfaction, willingness to purchase, brand perception, and digital marketing strategies. Topics of interest include the influence of customer reviews, social media engagement, and community-generated content on consumer trust and purchasing behavior. Contributions may include empirical research, theoretical frameworks, case studies, and methodological innovations that shed light on how UGC shapes online consumer behavior across different platforms and industries. Researchers are encouraged to propose insights into effective strategies for businesses to leverage UGC to enhance customer engagement, build brand loyalty, and optimize digital marketing efforts. Overall, this section aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the dynamics between UGC and online consumer behavior, offering valuable insights for both academic research and practical applications in marketing and business management.

We invite the students and young researchers of ITMO University to participate in an interdisciplinary section dedicated to scientific communication, health sciences, digital methods in humanities, science art, and product design. You will have the opportunity to showcase projects focused on building public trust in science, technology, medicine, and data-driven management decisions, as well as the production of such data through digital transformation and critical examination of the anthropocentric worldview.
We’re not ITMO’s resident humanities scholars; we’re specialists from various fields who work with science and technology, study and influence the public trust in these topics, and create useful and user-friendly solutions using methods from art, design, marketing, PR, programming, and product approaches. We study and promote evidence-based practices in science, technology, and medicine and work with diverse audiences.
